The power and expression of God's love that began on April 26, 2008 in Washington, D.C. and in venues across the nation struck a match that still burns passionately in the faithful remnant of the Body of Christ that joined in. Many people around the world heard God's call and obediently responded, the flame of that experience flickering in expectation as it waits for other hearts to ignite. As we have prayed, seeking God in the month following for His clear purpose and direction for ReignDown USA, He has given us a vision and a taste of things to come.
We now have confirmation of what we felt before April 26: That day was only the birth of what we believe is a national movement of repentance and revival in the Body of Christ in the United States. Revival that will break loose in major cities in every corner of the nation, transforming lives, mending wounded relationships, restoring broken communities, tearing down false idols, and healing a thirsty, disaster-stricken land.
God is calling ReignDown USA into cities across the United States that want to experience radical change. This model is much like what was experienced on April 26 in Washington, D.C. Worship is alive and celebratory, passionately and unabashedly drawing people to an encounter with their Heavenly Father. Messages are inspired by God and given only when He prompts a speaker. Intercessors and trained prayer leaders surround the gathered community. New gifts are bestowed by the Spirit. Healings, baptisms and deliverances happen in the midst of it all. There is no set ending time...people come and go as they feel led. Denominational walls, religious rituals, and manmade structure come crashing down as we make way for the Holy Spirit to do whatever He desires in and through us. This is not the norm today. This is seeking to bring us closer to the beginnings of the Christian Church in the Book of Acts, where "all the believers were together and had everything in common" (Acts 2:44).
We are called to carry the flame state by state, igniting the fire in local churches that unite for this common purpose, until the entire nation is ablaze and God is put back in His rightful place at the center! As ReignDown USA comes in and "passes the torch," our prayer is for revival to break out and spread to neighboring cities. Finally, we anticipate the culmination of this movement in some form in January 2012.
Let those of us who hear this call be convicted to "wake up" the sleeping churches! The louder the buzz of the alarm, the more God's defined people will hear and respond to 2 Chronicles 7:14, humbling themselves, seeking His presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives!
